Krakow ZOO


What | Krakow ZOO  

Where | ul. Kasy Oszczednosci 14, Kraków. See map. 

Parking | On week days, parking is allowed near the ZOO entrance (15 zł). During weekends, park your car on a large ZOO parking lot about 1 mile from the entrance (15 zł); you will not be permitted to drive any closer. Take a bus from there to the ZOO (runs every 25 min.) or take a walk in the Wolski Forest (note: the trail surface is not paved; manageable for strollers with larger wheels, not recommended for regular pushchairs)

Stroller, wheelchair access | Yes, large spacious areas, designed to accommodate strollers. Depending on the size of the stroller, entrance might not be possible to some exhibits in smaller buildings (i.e. terrarium).

What to do | The Krakow ZOO is located in the Wolski Forest, close to the city’s center. The ZOO features nearly 1500 animals, representing about 260 species. They also have a nice playground for kids and a well-kept mini-ZOO, where kids can run and feed ponies, chickens, rabbits, goats and pigs. The ZOO is open from 9:00am – 7:30pm during spring and summer months.

Price, discounts | Cash only. Admission 18 zł. Discount for children, students and retirees 10 zł. Children under 3 years of age enter free.

Restrooms | Yes. No changing table.  

English speaking | Yes.
